Warrior Watch
August is Appendix Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a time to honor those who have faced cancer head-on and continue to walk boldly through life.
Whether you’re in treatment, in remission, or walking in memory, we see you, we honor you, and we walk this path with you.

This month is dedicated to increasing awareness regarding appendix cancer, a rare yet potentially fatal form of cancer that impacts the appendix.
Appendix cancer is identified as the most prevalent primary cancer of the appendix. It is the 10th most common cancer in women and the 12th most common in men. It is estimated that 1 in 250 individuals will be diagnosed with appendix cancer during their lifetime. Symptoms can be vague and often mistaken for other conditions, such as appendicitis or ovarian cysts. The survival rate for appendix cancer is contingent upon the stage at which it is identified. Timely detection is vital for enhancing survival prospects.

The American Cancer Society and the Appendix Cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation are two key organizations that advocate for appendix cancer awareness.
World Lung Cancer Day August 1
Lung cancer is a condition characterized by the formation of malignant (cancerous) cells within the lung tissues. It stands as the primary cause of cancer-related fatalities among both men and women. The two predominant forms of lung cancer are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC)
