Happy August, Bigfoot Betty Family!
July kept us moving, from the backcountry trails of Naches to the sand of Ocean Shores, and we're not slowing down. This month was filled with precious moments with warriors and survivors in the community.
Buckle up. Here's everything that went down, and what's coming next. 👣

PNW4WDA Trail Jamboree
The Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association has hosted the Trail Jamboree for over 30 years. This year PNW4WDA named Bigfoot Betty their spotlight charity partner. Vendor Day was a hit, and the Ladies Trail Run on Friday gave us the chance to hand out 20+ Survivor Bags to celebrate the warriors we met. We personally delivered Trailblazer Totes to two people currently on a cancer journey; a moment we won't forget. The PNW4WDA crew designed and sold custom Bigfoot Betty shirts during the event, with the proceeds going straight to Bigfoot Betty | Pink Path 365. A heartfelt thank you to this incredible community and to the entire PNW4WDA team for welcoming us into a 30-year tradition and giving us the opportunity to spread breast cancer awareness one footprint at a time. We can't wait to hit the trails together again!

Our next stop… the coast, for theHog Wild Motorcycle Fun Run
Known as the biggest motorcycle rally in Western Washington, Hog Wild has brought thousands of riders to Ocean Shores for decades. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our mission to the motorcycle community, meet new supporters, and continue sharing hope wherever the trail leads.Huge thanks to Pam and Joe at Too Cool Sportswear for hosting Bigfoot Betty during the event. Too Cool printed custom "Bigfoot Betty Goes Hog Wild" shirts and will donate a portion of proceeds to Bigfoot Betty | Pink Path 365. We met with many inspiring survivors and handed out over a dozen Survivor Bags to celebrate their strength.

Warrior Watch
This section is dedicated to raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and honoring the strength of those affected by different forms of cancer. Because knowing the signs can save lives, and supporting the fighters is what Bigfoot Betty does best.
August is World Cancer Support Month. While most awareness months focus on a specific cancer type, this one is about the people around the fight, patients, caregivers, and families, and the emotional and practical support that makes treatment survivable. For more information, visit imermanangels.org
August is also Appendix Cancer Awareness Month. Appendix cancer is rare and often missed. Symptoms mimic other conditions, so it's frequently caught late. Amber is the official awareness color. For more information, visit acpmp.org
World Lung Cancer Day is August 1. Lung cancer causes more deaths each year than breast, colon, and liver cancer combined, but early screening dramatically improves survival. For more information, visit lung.org
